The Open Door is committed to providing an inclusive work environment for everyone. As a part of that commitment, our team members may opt to include personal gender pronouns in their email signatures if they wish to – and if they prefer not to that’s equally fine.
Gender pronouns in a workplace can help build a culture where trans and non-binary colleagues feel safe to be themselves. It normalizes conversations about personal gender identity and decreases the chances of misgendering one another.
We recognize that not everyone is comfortable with adding personal gender pronouns in their email signatures. At the end of the day, it’s all about creating an environment where all employees feel included. So our policy here at The Open Door leaves it up to each team member to decide if they want to include gender pronouns in their email signatures or not.
