The Open Door provides LIMITED grocery and meal deliveries, ONLY for those who qualify under specific eligibility criteria.

Fill out the below form ONLY if…

You are homebound
You have a significant medical condition that makes it impossible for you to pick-up groceries or meals yourself
You do not have access to transportation that would enable you to pick up groceries or meals yourself
You do not have a friend, family member, or health aid who can pick-up groceries and meals on your behalf
You live in our delivery service area of northeast Essex County in Massachusetts, including Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex, & Ipswich.

How long will it take for my application to be processed?

Our team aims to process delivery applications within one business week.

What happens if I apply but am put on a waitlist or am not eligible for delivery?

There are several options available to help you access free groceries and meals:
Pick Up Groceries or Meals: Visit the Gloucester or Ipswich Food Pantry. We’ve added more appointment times to make scheduling easier.
Send Someone to Pick Up for You: A friend or family member can pick up for you. Just let us know who they are by emailing deliveryprogram@foodpantry.org or calling 978-283-6776.
Join Us for Dinner: Meals are served in our Emerson Ave Dining Room (Mon-Fri 4:30-5:30PM). There are extra meals available to-go on Fridays for the weekend.
Use Our Food Locker Program: Pick up groceries after hours or on the weekend—apply at FOODPANTRY.org.
Visit a Mobile Market Near You: Find free food locations at FOODPANTRY.org/mobilemarket.
